The following system requirements are required in order to use cryoSPARC™. For more information, please visit the cryoSPARC discussion forum.
**1) GPU: A minimum of one NVIDIA GPU with compute capability 3.5+ and 4GB+ RAM.** This includes the most common cards K40, K80, TITAN Z, TITAN X, GTX 1080, GTX 1070. We have tested on K40, TITAN Z, and TITAN X, but new Titan and GTX cards are faster. **2) SSD: 256GB+ Local SSD.** Bigger is better. Loading particle stacks from spinning hard drives will significantly slow down CryoSPARC. SSD should be large enough to store particle stacks for at least a few active datasets. **3) CPU: Quad-Core Intel i7 Processor or better.** We test on 6-core Intel i7 and Dual 6-core Intel Xeon. **4) RAM: 64GB+ System RAM.** DDR4 is good, DDR3 is okay. CryoSPARC generally does not use more than 40GB for a single job, but more RAM can allow for more simultaneous jobs. **5) OS & DRIVERS: Recent Linux, with CUDA 6.5+** We test on Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 14.04, and many users run on CentOS 7. We test with CUDA 7.5 and CUDA 8.
